Cybersecurity Fundamentals Kolej Synergy

This TVET Micro Credential course is designed to prepare students to become competent and industry-ready cybersecurity practitioners, equipped with the practical skills required to protect computer networks, systems, and digital assets from modern cyber threats. The program focuses on hands-on training, ensuring students can confidently implement, monitor, and maintain network security measures in real-world IT environments. Students will gain strong technical knowledge in cybersecurity fundamentals, network security administration, threat detection, vulnerability assessment, system hardening, access control, security monitoring, and incident response. Through practical laboratory exercises and real-world simulations, students learn how to identify security vulnerabilities, analyze network traffic, implement protective measures, and respond effectively to common cybersecurity threats. Unlike theory-based programs, this TVET Micro Credential emphasizes learning by doing. Students will work with industry-standard cybersecurity tools and technologies such as network simulators, packet analyzers, vulnerability scanners, server operating systems, and remote administration tools. By the end of the course, students will be capable of securing network infrastructures, monitoring system activities, detecting potential security risks, and supporting organizations in maintaining a secure and reliable IT environment.
