Diploma in Architecture Technology is promised to produce holistic, balanced and technopreneurial graduates through its programme’s design and delivery. The programme will provide graduates with the architectural technical knowledge and Building Information Modelling (BIM) skills to work in the construction industry with appropriate competencies and also the opportunity of pursuing studies in related field. The nature of the programme is technology-design discipline where the courses are BIM studio-based with projectoriented approaches. Therefore, all of the discipline courses are aligned to support the Architectural BIM Courses, while the elective courses offered are for the students to endeavour into new interest area as well as to help the students to enhance the discipline core. The development of holistic and balanced graduates is through nine learning outcome domains of the Malaysian Board of Technologists (MBOT) Framework with the interpersonal and communication skills are set as the programme’s niche.

Diploma in Architectural Technology is expected to produce knowledgeable and skilful graduates who are expected to be employed by architectural firms, BIM consultation firms, construction companies, engineering companies, and government departments. They perform a crucial role of ensuring BIM models and architectural drawings are produced in coordination with related building industry disciplines. This is to meet the needs of the stakeholders such as clients, contractors, authorities, consultants and building occupants, at the different stages of the project.
